Israel mounts brutal terror attacks on Gaza, killing children

Israeli Video Games in Gaza
by Alison Weir.
He looks at the camera with bright eyes and the beginning of a smile, wearing a miniature dark blue zipper sweatshirt, the cuffs folded up a bit to make it fit.
I can imagine his mother dressing him that morning, making sure he would be warm enough. I wonder if she’s the one who took the picture. Someone has written on the photo “kisses.”
It’s not a formal picture. He’s outside on a sunny day. It looks like he was probably moving when the picture was snapped; …

NATO paves the way for civil war & foreign occupation as Western oil giants pounce on Libya

By the Editor.
The finishing touches are being added to the myth of the Libya war. A barrage of propaganda is convincing the world that the war is almost over. Amid the chaos Western oil giants pounce, foreshadowing a protracted and bloody civil war, and a foreign occupation in the guise of a ‘peacekeeping’ force.
Conventional wisdom has it that events in Libya are the result of an indigenous uprising that has organically risen from the soils of Libya. We are meant to believe that the ‘rebels’ are an …

NATO mounts psychological warfare operation to conceal bloody final assault on Tripoli

By the Editor.
Across the board, the corporate-Zionist media is reporting that Tripoli has fallen to the ‘rebels’ with no resistance. Reports speak of celebrations across the city as rebels are welcomed with open arms and crowds flood the streets in jubilation.
This is a psychological warfare operation aimed at concealing the bloody assault that has been mounted on Tripoli. The wall of deception is also intended to confuse and demoralise the Libyan Resistance, which has been staunch and united against NATO and the rebels ever since the onset of …

Libya and the end of Western illusions

by Thierry Meyssan, 16 August 2011.
Just under half of Europeans still support the war against Libya. Their position is based on erroneous information. They still believe, in fact, that in February the “Gaddafi regime” crushed the protests in Benghazi with brutal force and bombed civilian districts in Tripoli, while the Colonel himself was warning of “rivers of blood” if his compatriots continued to challenge his authority.
During my two months’ investigation on the ground, I was able to verify that these accusations were pure propaganda intoxication, designed by the NATO powers …

Al Jazeera lies again: U.S. Government unable to confirm use of naval forces on Latakia

By the Editor.
Updated August 16 (click here). Updated again August 17 (click here)
Two days ago Al Jazeera reported that Syrian naval forces had opened fire on the port city of Latakia, killing civilians. As usual, absolutely nothing to corroborate these grand claims was offered, except the customary “activists said” disclaimer:
Activists say 25 people killed as warships and tanks reportedly shell the northern port in an ongoing assault … At least 25 people have been killed and many others injured after Syrian warships and tanks opened fire on the …

Libya: NATO massacre of Zliten civilians unreported by media

by Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya, 13 August 2011.
On 8-9 August 2011, a large number of casualties occurred in the city of Zliten, in the district of Misurata. 85 people were killed including 33 children, 32 women, and 20 men as a result of NATO’s deliberate targeting of residential areas and civilian infrastructure. Many of the injured civilian victims are in critical condition and near death.
Zliten has been under constant NATO bombardment for several days. The recent NATO attacks started at about 11:30 p.m. EET on August 8, 2011. At least 7 …

Sri Lanka, Libya, and the unfathomable hypocrisy of the U.S.

By the Editor.
In a decades-long campaign of repression and state terrorism, the Sri Lankan Army has been able to kill and brutalise Tamil civilians and fighters with absolute impunity. During the final months of the 25-year civil war, the Sri Lankan government mounted a ‘final purge’ on Tamil territory while overshadowed by Barack Obama’s election campaign.
With unmitigated brutality, Sri Lankan forces intentionally shelled civilians whom they had penned in to ‘no-fire zones’. Red Cross workers submitted GPS coordinates of makeshift hospitals to the Sri Lankan government, only for …

Blueprint For NATO Attack On Syria Revealed

Strike on Syria is technically feasible, former French general says
by Andrew Rettman.
A Nato strike to disable the Syrian army is technically feasible according to experts, such as former French air chief Jean Rannou. But it could make the country’s internal situation worse.
Nato member countries would begin by using satellite technology to spot Syrian air defences. A few days later, warplanes, in larger numbers than Libya, would take off from the UK base in Cyprus and spend some 48 hours destroying Syrian surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) and jets. Alliance aircraft would then …

The National Front for the Salvation of Libya and its faux-revolutionary poster child

By the Editor.
Created by the CIA and Mossad in 1981, the NFSL was part of a plan to destabilise Libya using a ‘fifth column’ of fighters and insurgents, and this surreptitious and chequered history stretches to the present day. As the current leader of the NFSL pleads in front of the White House for war on Libya, easily-led liberals and naive Libyan expats are seduced by Orwellian references to ‘freedom’ and ‘revolution’, words used to cloak the true intentions of the NFSL, its affiliated groups, and their imperialist creators.
Walking …

USCENTCOM buys software to impersonate social networkers & bloggers; blogosphere shows tell-tale signs amid war on Libya

By the Editor. UPDATED Thursday August 4th, click here to go to the update.
At a time of war, destabilisation, and great upheaval in the Middle East and North Africa, social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook are being increasingly relied upon by those seeking information. Allowing to-the-second updates from the on-the-ground journalists and ordinary citizens, even major news outlets are beginning to circulate reports originating from these sources.
In an ominous development in March this year (in the lead-up to the war on Libya and the destabilisation of Syria), US …
